AUTHOR'S NOTE
To the Little One I Love is a bedtime tale full of wishes and goodnight kisses. The book was inspired by a cherished childhood bedtime memory. When my mother put us to bed, she’d kiss our cheeks, squeeze our ten plump toes, and pull the covers to our nose. It was a nighttime ritual that we adored. When I became a mother, I repeated this with my own children and it dawned on me that our mother’s ritual was her version of a physical lullaby. I decided that I would put it to words and vowed to make it a children’s book one day. When I met my now dear friend, the celebrated London-based artist Hermione Skye, I knew I had found my illustrating partner. Her wonderfully sweet, dreamlike art captures the marvel a child has for the world around them. We hope this story will also become a favorite part of your bedtime ritual with your loved ones.

Victoria Puccinelli
Victoria Puccinelli has been writing children’s stories since she was in fifth grade when her teacher Ms. Hundsness taught her how to make her own book and her father taught her how to write a poem. She spent her career in journalism, television production and animation, and To the Little One I Love is her first published book. She lives in San Francisco, where she raised her two children in the city’s national park, the Presidio.

Hermione Skye
Hermione is a British Born alumna of Chelsea College of Arts & Design and Central St. Martins. She is a multimedia artist whose work is collected around the world. Growing up in the countryside of England, Hermione first knew she would grow up to be an artist when she was twelve. She was invited to join extra art sessions by her art teacher, who believed she had the potential to receive an Art scholarship, which Hermione acquired during this period.
